Bupa Health Care Swimming pool & spa (Oxford)

We were called to a Bupa healthcare nursing home to investigate heat loss in the swimming pool. After a thorough assessment, we found that the air handling units were drawing heat from the pool’s heat exchanger due to inadequate flow rates.

To resolve this, we designed and implemented a solution, upgrading the primary flow and return pipework to 54mm and installing two 600-litre buffer vessels. We also added auxiliary pumps and upgraded the flow and return connections to the pool, spa, and air handling units to 42mm, ensuring improved efficiency and heat retention.

Mosque

This project takes place at a newly constructed mosque in Sheffield, where the entire ground floor is heated through an underfloor heating system. The heating is powered by two 40kW Ideal Evo Max boilers, providing a combined output of 80kW. To distribute the heating effectively, we designed and installed a custom manifold using 54mm copper pipe, which branches off into multiple circuits to ensure even heat distribution throughout the space.

In addition to supplying the underfloor heating system, these boilers also serve a 600L unvented hot water cylinder, ensuring a reliable and efficient hot water supply for the facility. The system has been carefully designed to maximize performance, efficiency, and longevity.

Mount St Marys Collage

In a recent project, our team carried out a full replacement of six aging 100kW boilers that had been in operation for over 45 years. We installed six new Ideal Evomax 100kW boilers, using factory-supplied frame kits and a common header to ensure a streamlined and efficient setup.

To maintain the integrity of both the legacy and new systems, we incorporated a 300kW plate heat exchanger, allowing for complete system separation. The entire system was repiped using 54mm copper with high-quality press-fit fittings, ensuring long-term reliability and a clean finish.

To complete the installation, all pipework was insulated with foil-faced lagging, enhancing energy efficiency and delivering a neat, professional appearance.

Project completed: Full VRV installation in Swindon

Scope of works included:

🔹 Installation of 33 cassette units

🔹 All containment and refrigerant pipework

🔹 3 Toshiba VRV systems

🔹 2 Toshiba split systems serving the cons room

The project was delivered over a 9-week programme, from first fix through to commissioning and handover. All systems are now fully operational, providing efficient heating and cooling throughout the premises.
